    Awesome piece of equipment!

Posted by Scott on 17th Jan 2024

I have been using modified reloading presses to swag my own benchrest quality bullet and seldom gave much thought to how much better it could be... That was until one day I talked myself into getting a Lenzi Bullet swaging press. First impression when I unboxed it was how massive it was compared to a typical cast iron reloading press, that and the quality of the machining and material used. Once I started to look it over good and get it set up with my dies that I completely realized that this piece of equipment was “engineered” from the start to have one purpose, to swag bullets. It wasn’t something that could be made to work and was “adapted” to perform this very critical task. For those that don’t know it, when you are making bullets, you are working with tolerances of tenths of a thousand of an inch, not in thousands that typical reloading presses are built to work within. This press is built dead nuts straight and has the strength needed for the task along with being designed for longevity you will see with the higher cycling rates and loads you have with bullet making. Custom bullet makers understand how much feel plays if you need to produce high quality bullets, this press was engineered to make efficient advantage use of leverage and the cam-over action to give you plenty of feel but not needing a ton of force as you complete the stroke of the handle.
