Description
These Deluxe Barrel Vises are made by our friend Bob "The Viper" Pastor. Machined from 6061 aluminum and finished with a durable, baked on, non-slip powdercoat, these deluxe barrel vises feature the usual hardened bolts and nuts along with fully captured return spings. The return springs prevent the top of the vise from flopping around, making inserting and removing barrels from the vise much quicker and easier. This feature along with the powdercoat finish protects the finish of your barrels from scratches and most importantly protects the crown of the muzzle. You will not find a higher quality barrel vise with these features anywhere.
We hear a lot of "Which action wrench is for me?" from our customers. To us, it all boils down to what you need in a barrel vise.
This barrel vise features:
- Durable powder coated finish
- Return springs
- Moderate price

Worked perfectly. Vise was much more robust than I expected. No slippage with tube from toilet paper roll wrapped around barrel

Viper Barrel Vise
Very nice produt. I torque my barrels on a custom action to 150 ft.lbs, and this vice holds without slipping. I wrap my barrel with a piece of leather to avoid scratching. The finish on this vice is fantastic.

Easy set up and simple operation
Mounted it to my bench with 1/2" bolts in ten minutes. Bought it for my new F-class rifle and it didn't slip.

Viper Barrel Vise
This is all you need! This week I have removed and installed two 1.25" straight no-taper barrels and one carbon fiber wrapped barrel, tapered in rem sendero. I bought the powder coated vise, so there was no need for rosin. I barely snugged the four nuts on top and it grips the barrel. NO MARKS!

Barrel Vise By Viper
Bought it because a previous reviewer used it on a Tikka barreled action. I removed a shot out T3 sporter barrel but I had to weld a bushing on the barrel to get a good straight grip with the vise. The Viper vise held fine with no slippage as it takes a lot of torque to break loose a Tikka barrel. I'll find some appropriate sized aluminum shims for the next time. I do recommend this vise, very well made and worth the price.
